A rapidly growing manufacturing company in Penang mainland is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead and manage the full spectrum of financial operations across group of companies. The role will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, treasury, and internal controls, while ensuring compliance with MFRS and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth, including involvement in IPO processes, M&A, and financing strategies as you will work closely with executive management and external stakeholders to drive financial performance and long-term success. 

 

Job Description

  • Lead the continuous development and evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial planning to support the Group’s growth objectives.  
  • Oversee all finance functions, including accounting, costing, treasury, corporate finance, working capital, budgeting, tax planning, and internal controls.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Maintain robust internal control systems and ensure full compliance with MFRS and all relevant regulatory and tax requirements.  
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and regulatory bodies to ensure statutory compliance.
  • Evaluate, plan, and execute corporate exercises such as acquisitions, financing projects, and restructuring activities.  
  • Advise senior management on the financial impact of key business decisions and strategic initiatives.  

     



Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.  
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • IPO exposure, especially related to Bursa Malaysia, is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities across all organizational levels.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound decision-making judgment.  
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a strategic mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced business environment.  
  • High integrity, accountability, and a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
