Our client is a leading private luxury real estate developer in Thailand is seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager to oversee all legal aspects of its real estate operations, with a strong emphasis on litigation. This role involves managing legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and government relations, while also supporting senior leadership with ad hoc legal matters.
Role OverviewThe Legal Manager will be responsible for handling legal issues related to property development, including construction permits, environmental impact assessments (EIA), land due diligence, and contract management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess extensive litigation experience, particularly in construction-related disputes.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all legal matters related to real estate development, including surveying, land subdivision, and regulatory approvals.
Draft, review, and improve legal contracts such as purchase agreements, construction contracts, and sales agreements.
Lead litigation efforts:
Represent the company in legal disputes, especially those involving construction and property.
Collaborate with external legal counsel to develop litigation strategies.
Prepare legal documents, gather evidence, and attend court proceedings.
Advise senior management on legal risks and dispute resolution.
Provide legal support across various business functions as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and industry stakeholders.
Travel domestically for project-related legal matters.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on construction and real estate disputes.
Strong knowledge of Thai legal systems, court procedures, and dispute resolution.
Experience in arbitration and mediation is a plus.
Familiarity with condominium and hotel development projects is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in Thai (spoken and written); English proficiency is an advantage.
Positive attitude, fast learner, and results-driven mindset.
Proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
