PR/159385 | Logistic and Warehouse Section Manager

Our client is a European based company, provider of fully integrated electronic and mechatronic design and manufacturing solutions in Penang. They are looking for Logistic and Warehouse Section Manager to oversee the entire inventory control, custom clearance and etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee warehouse and logistics management systems, including inventory control procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Lead the Cycle Count team to maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, integrity, and operational quality.
• Manage manpower resources by providing training and guidance to team members for effective execution of daily tasks
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration by building strong relationships with other departments to improve communication and overall business performance.
• Serve as liaison with Customs and other regulatory bodies, handling monthly and annual reports, scrap documentation, license renewals, valuations, and import/export compliance for raw materials, finished goods, and machinery.
• Source and negotiate with cost-effective and efficient freight forwarders and shipping agents for road, air, and sea logistics to support import/export operations.

• Assist in budget preparation, including capital investment planning, manpower allocation, and expense forecasting.

   

Job Requirement

• Degree in any discipline with minimum 7 years experiences or Diploma/STPM in any discipline with minimum 10 years experiences in warehouse or logistic section
• Experience in people manager role
• Preferable with working experience in the contract manufacturing environment
• Familiar in liaison with Custom regarding LMW or other statutory government bodies
