COMPANY OVERVIEW
A regional Japanese bank, part of a global financial group, offers a wide range of services including asset management, real estate, and corporate services, built upon its core fiduciary responsibilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely MAS regulatory returns (e.g., MAS 610, MAS 649, MAS 637). Ensure compliance with the latest MAS notices and directives, including the MAS Rewrite. Monitor key regulatory ratios and proactively liaise with MAS.
Assist in preparing financial statements (SFRS(I)s), perform general ledger reconciliations, and support month-end/year-end closing.
Collaborate with IT for data quality, participate in UAT for system enhancements, and identify process improvements.
Assist with internal and external audits, maintaining robust documentation and strong internal controls.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow) in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I)s) and internal accounting policies.
Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and MAS regulatory reporting within the Singapore banking sector.
In-depth knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting requirements is essential.
Strong understanding of SFRS(I)s.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and financial systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Meticulous, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
