Position: Manger- Technical Services and New Products Developments

Location: Gurgaon (Technical Centre)

Qualifications: Engineering bachelor’s degree in Polymer/ coatings/ Adhesive/Chemical and similar fields. Master’s degree in relevant field will have extra weightage

Experience: Must have more than 05 years of experience in flexible packaging industries in testing of coating, adhesive, resins with different coating machine operation knowledge.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a responsible technical flexible packaging testing person to join our team and contribute to various laboratory tasks & new development projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a laboratory environment basically in flexible packaging industries and must have good knowledge of different coating machine operation and handling with a strong commitment to accuracy to ensure the extraction of reliable and valid results.

The role will involve Polymer, Paper, Films, and Coatings sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing in collaboration with the rest of the lab team.

He/she will be responsible for the technical support for new and ongoing business to support the sales and marketing team of Coating & ICT solution division.

The duties and responsibilities shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

• Perform various tests on flexible packaging materials and products, including but not limited to barrier properties, seal strength, tensile strength, puncture resistance, and print quality etc.
• Testing and leading the development of new product platforms to complement our existing product range, which currently includes water-based polyolefin dispersions and wax based coatings and acrylic coating by own.
• Establish and maintain testing protocols for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, ensuring they align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Formulate innovation initiatives aligned to the organization's vision, mission and values towards sustainable products bio-based or recycled origin.
• Work closely with R&D, production, and sales teams to ensure packaging solutions meet product requirements and brand expectations.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, analyze data, and prepare reports on packaging performance.
• Must be willing to learn coating machine operation and run the machine whenever it is required.
• Management of safety testing and operating.
• Support in creating SOPs. Handling of SOPs and continuous improvement.
• Innovate organizational quality policies, food safety and regulatory requirements and manufacturing of new products.
• Testing/developing or expanding the range of applications we address to include water based, solvent-free and solvent-based laminating adhesives, gas barrier solutions and functional coating for flexible packaging market.
• Able to address the key challenges of product innovation in new application fields and drive technology change towards more robust and sustainable solutions across our portfolio of packaging coatings and adhesives.
• Drive technical innovations to improve products, processes or packaging.
• Evaluate/testing's outcomes of new products and processes to deliver improved business results.
• Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
• Monitors ongoing advances and improvements with competitors' products, packaging, and labelling for trends.
• Document all activities, and results and report back to CTC head.
