PR/159222 | Process & Yield Engineering Manager

Our client is a well-established multinational company within the electronic components manufacturing industry, they are now seeking a seasoned Engineering / Yield Manager to lead and optimize engineering operations within their manufacturing plant. This role plays a vital part in overseeing production process engineering, driving yield improvement, and implementing automation and continuous improvement strategies to ensure the production meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Location to work: Batu Berendam Industrial Zone, Melaka 

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team; provide training, development, and performance management.

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures for efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality, and Production to support product and process development.

• Monitor production yield and process data; analyze trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and boost productivity.

• Plan and implement new manufacturing equipment, technologies, and automation projects.

• Manage engineering resources and budgeting within the production environment.

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex manufacturing issues.

• Ensure adherence to ISO standards and industry regulations in all engineering operations.

• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to identify new technologies and cost-reduction opportunities.

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field) 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably with a leadership or managerial exposure 

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process control, production line optimization and automation technologies 

• Hands on experience with lean manufacturing, yield analysis and process improvement techniques 

• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking and project management skills 

• Familiar with ISO quality standards and compliance requirements in manufacturing 

• Proficient in technical software/ tools used for manufacturing and engineering
