Job Description

Our client is a leading global manufacturer within the advanced materials and ceramic electronic components industry. They are seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and control functions within their production operations in Malaysia. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing product quality to meet stringent customer and regulatory standards.

 

Location to work: Batu Berendam Industrial Zone, Melaka 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control systems, policies, and procedures across the organization.

  • Lead a team of quality control personnel — providing training, coaching, and daily guidance.

  • Monitor and analyze quality data to detect issues, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality objectives are met throughout production and development.

  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Ensure all quality documentation, records, and reports are accurate, updated, and audit-ready.

  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure quality is embedded into new product development.

  • Provide quality training to staff and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated with industry standards, regulatory changes, and new technologies relevant to quality management.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management or related field 

  • At least 5 years of working experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or a similar role 

  • Solid understanding of quality systems, regulatory standards, and manufacturing processes

  • Proven experience in team leadership and cross functional collaboration 

  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills 

  • Familiar with system-based quality control (e.g: QMS, ISO standards) 

  • Knowledge of IoT and software tools used in quality monitoring is a plus
