Seeking a Senior Data Scientist based in Japan to deliver innovative AI/ML-driven analytics supporting the local commercial and medical priorities. Contribute directly to decisions that improve patients' lives in Japan and globally.

Client Details

Multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company headquartered in the United States. Develops and manufactures medicines and vaccines across several therapeutic areas, including immunology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and neurology.

Description

• Design, develop, and implement predictive models and AI/ML algorithms aligned with Japan business strategy.
• Translate business needs into analytical solutions, framing problems and shaping strategies.
• Partner with commercial, medical, and omnichannel teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Leverage global COE capabilities to localize and apply advanced analytics for Japan.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with developments in data science and AI to bring cutting-edge solutions to the team.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or advanced analytics roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services and predictive modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global organization.
• Fluent in English; Japanese proficiency is a plus but not required.
• Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences is preferred.
