JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Development & Requirement Analysis: Design and develop innovative MES applications by analyzing detailed requirements and leading the design of new solutions and enhancements. Focus on user experience, functionality, and system performance across all aspects, including design, database schema, business logic, and user interfaces while applying analytical skills to effectively solve complex business problems.

Integration Solutions: Build and maintain integrations between MES, ERP systems, SCADA, and other enterprise applications using APIs and middleware.

Database Management: Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries with proficiency in relational database software (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) to ensure data integrity and performance.

User Interface Design: Develop user-friendly interfaces for MES applications, adhering to best practices in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Reporting & Analytics: Generate actionable insights through custom reports and dashboards utilizing MES and external reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.

Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT, operations, and quality assurance teams to deliver effective MES solutions while providing ongoing technical support.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all solutions meet quality standards by collaborating on testing, validation, and following software development best practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Typically requires 4+ years of relevant software development experience, with a focus on MES; experience with Plex is preferred.

• Strong object-oriented programming/design experience, ideally with C#.
• Proficiency in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database software) and experience in database design/data modelling.
• Solid web development skills, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques, RESTful APIs, and middleware solutions.
• Understanding manufacturing processes and operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies is advantageous.
• Additional preferred skills include .NET Core, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Knockout), Apache Kafka, Go, and DBA-level SQL performance tuning, as well as API development.
• Experience with other MES platforms will be considered.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in MES, software development, or related technologies are advantageous.
• Knowledge of compliance standards applicable to manufacturing environments in China is preferable.
