Software Engineer (data pipeline in charge)　

A fintech startup providing innovative financing solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups. By leveraging future revenue data, our platform enables companies to access flexible capital without diluting equity or relying on traditional debt.

The team consists of around 30 members from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Internal communication is primarily in English, and they are planning to expand internationally.

• Data Science Team: 1 Manager, 2 Data Scientists, 1 Data Analyst, 2 Contractors

What You'll Do

You will lead the design, development, and operation of data infrastructure for collecting and analyzing accounting and management data provided by our clients (mainly SMEs and startups). Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt
• Migrating and improving existing pipelines to align with current business needs
• Collaborating with the CTO and data team lead to address domain-specific data challenges, such as:
• Normalizing differences in account classifications and data formats
• Improving real-time and stream processing capabilities

You will also have the opportunity to work on product development projects as needed.

Must skills:

・Hands-on experience in data pipeline development and operations

・5+ years of software development experience with coding (e.g., web/mobile apps, games)

・Proficiency in SQL or equivalent

・Basic Python programming skills

・Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

・English communication skills for both technical and non-technical discussions

・Japanese language skills (N2 level or higher)

Preferred skills:

・Experience leading pipeline architecture and improvements

・Proficiency in statically typed languages (e.g., Go, TypeScript, Scala, Kotlin, Rust)

・Practical experience with Python

・Experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments

・Familiarity with distributed data processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

・Background in accounting data processing

・Participation in competitive programming
