The International Grants Section plays a vital role in supporting the acquisition and management
of international external research funding at OIST. The section provides assistance throughout both pre-award and post-award processes, ensuring appropriate use and compliance in the management of public research funds. While the focus is on international funding, the scope may also include other sources. Team members proactively collect and share information on funding opportunities with faculty, researchers, students, and the leadership team, enabling timely and strategic decision making across the institution. Under the leadership of the Dean of Research, a dedicated support team coordinates institution-wide project planning for large-scale grant applications by identifying strategic research themes and recommending appropriate principal investigators. These efforts aim to strengthen OIST’s research competitiveness and contribute to a healthy and proportional increase in third-party research income. Progress is evaluated based on key performance indicators, including the number and total value of awarded grants.

国際外部研究資金セクションは国際的な外部資金の獲得と管理を支援する上で重要な役割を果たしています。このセクションは、応募前(プレアワード)および採択後(ポストアワード)のプロセス全体を通して支援を提供し、公的研究資金の適切な使用と管理の遵守を確保します。国際的な外部資金に重点を置きますが、その他の外部資金も対象とする場合があります。チームメンバーは、教員、研究者、学生、上層部に対して、外部資金に関する情報を積極的に収集・共有することで、大学全体におけるタイムリーかつ戦略的な意思決定を支援します。研究担当ディーンのリーダーシップのもと、戦略的な研究テーマを特定し、適切な研究責任者を推薦することにより、大型外部資金申請のための大学全体のプロジェクト計画を調整します。これらの取り組みは、OISTの研究競争力を強化し、政府以外の研究収入の増加に貢献することを目指しています。進捗状況は、助成金の件数と総額を含む主要業績評価指標(KPI)に基づいて評価されます。
