Job Description

Our client is a leading automotive manufacturing company, they are now looking for a Manufacturing Improvement Coordinator to drive improvement in processes, products and equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills and passion for excellence in manufacturing operations. 
 
Location to work: Sungai Buloh, Selangor 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure continuous improvement of process, products, and equipment. Lead, educate and develop PI's, be link with Manufacturing Excellent.
  • Plan, training material, training deliver, support for implementation/application of knowledge.
  • Assess PI's competencies and plan training and development activities aiming to bridge relevant gaps.
  • Ensure proper data driven approach, use of proper tools.
  • Standardized approach by each team/PI, ensure effective data management (incl. Use of digital tools)
  • Aim to minimize the gap against best practice, support plant towards Manufacturing Excellent.
  • Participation in the ME 360 assessment process (while PM remains the owner of ME360 tool)
  • Coordination of 3K savings projects in production.
  • Support Implementation of Global and Regional Programs/Projects. Example CCP PVB, TOCR, SMED.
  • Support NMI/NPI, ensure adherence to defined process.
  • Participation in the identification of priority production needs in the field of research and development of new products and production processes.
  • Participation in the formulation of production requirements specifications (MRS) for new investment tasks in accordance with the requirements of global standards
  • Cooperation in the acceptance of new (improved) production equipment to ensure compliance with the specification of production requirements (Validation Protocol).
  • Support R&D/NMI/Technology testing
  • Proactively drive and support Plant to plan, priorities and implement DX solutions
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Competences and skill in Black belt +, Data driven, Technical/engineering educational background, Fluent English, good glass processing knowledge, Good communication skills, Willingness and ability to teach and develop others, Sustainability knowledge built in, Passion for excellence.
  • Technological knowledge of key processes
  • 6 sigma (yellow/green belts training/supervision), Black belt nomination and supervision
  • Required skill(s): analytical analysis, able to work independently, problem solving skills, good interpersonal skills, dynamic, energetic, and resourceful team player.
  • Preferably candidates with 4 to 5 years working experience in the related field.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry will be an added advantage.
  • Good command in spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Knowledge in handling of Microsoft Office system (computer literate)
  • Able to travel frequently.
