A global leader in life sciences and medical devices is seeking a Commercial Excellence & Operations Specialist to support its Japan operations. In this role, you will help drive business growth through performance tracking, CRM optimization, territory planning, and strategic reporting. You'll collaborate with cross-functional and global teams, using data-driven insights to streamline commercial operations and enhance field execution in the Japan market.
Collaborate with sales teams to define territory strategy and customer segmentation
Ensure BI and CRM systems provide accurate and timely commercial data
Partner with international teams to implement system improvements, offer training, and create SOPs
Deliver analytical reports and performance dashboards, including monthly and custom reporting, KPI tracking, and incentive management
Build strong local and global partnerships to reflect Japanese market needs in regional decision-making

3+ years in commercial excellence, sales operations, SFE, business analytics, or territory planning
CRM system experience (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva)
Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industries (preferred)
Experience in sales territory design and annual commercial planning (preferred)
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration skills across multicultural teams
Analytical thinking, with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving
Japanese: Fluent
English: Intermediate to Business level
Experience supporting both field sales and commercial planning in regulated industries
Ability to present insights to senior leadership using visual tools and strategic reports
Willingness to travel occasionally domestically or internationally
