Job Description -
• Handle purchasing of required components from domestic and international supplier base
• Lead a team of buyers to ensure availability of parts / components as per the production plan
• Follow-up & co-ordinate for shipments with vendors, freight forwarders & CHA.
• Identify cost saving projects with the help of sourcing team and get those implemented with suppliers.
• Drive inventory reduction actions and improve Inventory Turns for the business by working closely with Purchase, Planning & Sourcing teams.
• Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities for improvement and drive required actions to reduce inventory.
• Work with planner / buyers to better manage stocking and usage of material and inventory.
• Manage the entire purchasing process, including sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers.
• Analyze market trends and maintain a thorough understanding of pricing and product availability.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies in collaboration with other departments.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and address any purchasing needs or issues.
• Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in purchasing and supply chain management.
