Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the polymer compounding production processes

  • Managing production teams and scheduling

  • Ensuring quality control and compliance with industry standards

  • Optimizing production efficiency and reducing wastage

  • Implementing and maintaining safety protocols

  • Coordinating with other departments for smooth operations

  • Shop floor management

  • Developing and implementing production schedule to meet Customer requirement through optimum utilization of Resources 

  • Forecasting Production need and ensuring timely procurement of tools, Consumables etc 

  • Managing and allocating resources, including personnel, equipment and materials Ensuring effective utilization of resources to minimize waste and maximize productivity Ensuring implementation and enforcement of Quality control standard to ensure product meet required specification 

  • Monitoring production processes to identify and address quality issues 

  • Analyzing production data to identify area for Improvement and implement process Supervising and motivating Production staff. Providing training and development opportunity to enhance employee skill 

  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Promoting a safe working environment 

  • Monitoring Production cost and ensuring adherence to Budget 

  • Identify Cost saving opportunities

Key performance Indicator:

  1. Continual improvement towards promoting safe working environment with Zero major accident 

  2. Continual improvement in Production efficiency 

  3. Continual improvement in optimum Resource management 

  4. Continual improvement in Reduction of Waste generation

Required Skills:

  1. Strong technical knowledge of polymer compounding processes

  2. Production planning and inventory management experience

  3. Team leadership and personnel management

  4. Problem-solving abilities in a manufacturing environment

  5. Quality control expertise in plastics manufacturing

  6. Good knowledge and experience of production Process 

  7. Good exposure of TPM, Lean manufacturing practices like 5S, 4M analysis, Poka-yoke, Waste reduction, FMEA 

  8. Good Knowledge of MS -OFFICE 

  9. Good leadership skill 

  10. Must have ability to (a)handle the work pressure (b) work under tight deadlines
