The Role

• Actively investigate and replicate functional backend software issues through hands-on manual processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying reasons behind existing test script failures.
• Assess current test scripts to pinpoint deficiencies and areas that require additional scripted coverage.
• Perform investigatory testing on unreleased features, including defining requirements, behavior, and potential impact.
• Document and design test scenarios for the above investigations, ensuring comprehensive coverage and clarity.

Your Skills

• 6+ years of backend QA engineering experience
• Full cycle testing from designing manual tests, developing scripts and execution
• Strong experience with UNIX/Linux (must-have)
• Scripting ability using Python
• Experience testing backend services such as APIs, Databases, distributed services (non-monolithic)
• Thrives on problem-solving and enjoys dissecting issues to uncover not only the "what" but also the underlying "why".
• Demonstrates clear and logical communication skills in English, facilitating effective collaboration and problem resolution.
