Position summary:
The OIST Graduate University Library primarily collects electronic content and provides various online services necessary for education and research. The Library staff (Institutional Repository/Electronic Resources) mainly responsible for the software and content management of the Institutional Repository and management of electronic resources. The Institutional Repository is a system that stores the University's research outcomes, such as journal articles and doctoral dissertations, and makes them available to the public for free of charge. We collect the research outcomes and metadata from external and internal sources, check the copyrights and archiving policies to see if we can be deposited in our repository, and then perform depositing them in the repository within the scope of the permission. The Library staff (Institutional Repository/Electronic Resources) also assigns the depositing works to other staff members, manages the entire registration workflow to ensure that the work is completed within the timeframe, and makes proposals and improvements to increase efficiency. This is an important task for actively disseminating information on the university's research results through the institutional repository.
Regarding of management of e-resources, the Library staff (Institutional Repository/Electronic Resources) checks the usage statistics of publishers, analyzes the needs of the University, and makes proposals for the most appropriate collection structure.
The Library has a large number of foreign users, so good command of English skills are required to carry out the work. The ideal candidate will have the desire to develop his/her career in the library over a long period of time so that the Library can provide better services as an digital library.

本図書館は主に電子コンテンツを収集し、教育・研究に必要な各種オンラインサービスを提供しています。ライブラリースタッフ(機関リポジトリ/電子リソース担当)は、主に機関リポジトリのソフトウェア・コンテンツ管理と電子リソースの管理を行います。機関リポジトリとは、本学の研究成果物である学術雑誌論文や博士論文を保存し、一般の方に無料で閲覧できるように公開するシステムです。それらの成果物及びメタデータを外部又は内部より収集し、リポジトリで公開することができるのかどうか著作権や出版社アーカイビングポリシー等を確認後、許諾された範囲内で登録業務を行います。 また、他のスタッフにも登録業務を割り当て、期間内に登録業務が完了できるよう登録業務ワークフローの全体を管理し、効率化のための提案・改善等も行います。機関リポジトリを通じて、本学の研究成果物情報を積極的に発信するための大切な業務です。
また、電子リソースについては、出版社の利用統計から所蔵電子リソースの利用状況を確認し、本学のニーズ等の分析を行い、最適なコレクション構成のための提案を行います。また、本図書館では外国人利用者が多いため業務遂行には英語による高いコミュニケーションスキルが必要です。電子図書館としてのよりよいサービスを提供できるように長期間にわたり図書館でキャリアを積んでいく意欲のある方を希望いたします。
