Senior Tekla Structural Designer/Tekla 構造設計シニアエンジニア

Purpose: (Summary)

Incumbent is responsible to apply professional skills/experience to identify Customer’s and project requirements, and manage/control the Structural 2D/3D Tekla Structures and BIM design work for industrial facility, oil and gas facility.

Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities

- Responsible to develop Tekla functions and setup project standard effectively as Tekla structure specialist.

• Create accessories (handrails/ladders/stairs/floors) standard components in Tekla.
• Create structural standard and/or special connection components in Tekla.
• Setup automatic parameter application system for aforesaid standard component.
• Create auto connection as per model extent
• Create template to publish 2D drawing for official deliverables such as project drawing and Material Take Off. Develop export format for the project

- Develop modelling procedure for Tekla users at external engineering subcontractors
- Support designers to familiarize the Tekla operation.
- Understand Client’s requirements and perform consistent Design according to the project specificities and procedures
- Lead staff designers and draftsmen in his or her group to execute the project
- Responsible for 3D model development and 2D drafting quality and schedule.
- Set up the environment of Tekla Structures 3D modeling, CAD and BIM.
- Clear and solve Tekla Structures, 2D/3D CAD and BIM issues.
- Coordinate with Fabricator(s) on Tekla related issues

- Tekla Structures のスペシャリストとして、Tekla の機能の開発、プロジェクト標準の設定を効果的に行う責務。

• Teklaでアクセサリ (手すり/はしご/階段/床) の標準コンポーネントを作成。
• Tekla で構造標準および/または特殊接続部品を作成。
• 上記標準部品の自動パラメータ適用システムを構築。
• モデル範囲に応じた自動接続を作成。
• プロジェクト図面やマテリアル テイクオフなどの公式成果物用の 2D 図面を公開するためのテンプレートを作成。 プロジェクト用のエクスポートフォーマットを開発。

- 外部のエンジニアリング下請け業者で Tekla ユーザー向けのモデリング手順を開発。

- 社内設計者のTekla 操作をサポート。

- クライアントの要件を理解し、プロジェクトの仕様と手順に従って一貫した設計を行う。

- チーム内のスタッフ デザイナーやドラフトマンを率いて、プロジェクトを遂行。

- 3Dモデルの開発と 2D製図の品質とスケジュールを担う。

- Tekla Structures3D モデリング、CAD、および BIM の環境設定を行う。

- Tekla Structures、2D/3D CAD、および BIM の問題をクリアし解決。

- Tekla 関連の問題について製造者と調整。

Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

- Capable to develop project setup at Tekla such as auto connection, template and etc.
- Has basic knowledge and skills on Steel Structural Engineering
- Knowledge, understanding and correct interpretation for Steel Structure technical specifications, drawings, code and standards.
- Has understanding of EPC schedule and control modeling and drafting schedule.
- Has knowledge and skills of 2D/3D Tekla Structures, CAD and BIM design.
- Has communication skills for coordination with other disciplines engineers (such as mechanical, E&I), Vendor’s engineer

Qualifications / Certifications

Essential:

- Engaged in developing project setup at Tekla such as auto connection, template and etc. for plant facilities projects
- Knowledge about Structural design work utilizing Tekla Structures, 2D/3D CAD and BIM.
- AutoCAD

Preferred:

- Experienced working at Steel fabricator to develop fabrication drawing.
- Knowledge about international design code of Structural element, such as AISC.
- Experienced with industrial facility, such as oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical plant, power station etc.

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:

- Minimum 5 years experience in Structural design using Tekla

• Tekla Structures、2D/3D CAD、BIM を利用した構造設計業務に関する知識を保有
• AutoCAD
• Teklaで、自動接続、テンプレートなどのプロジェクト セットアップの開発が可能
• 鋼鉄構造工学に関する基本的な知識とスキルを有する
• 鋼鉄構造の技術仕様、図面、規約、規格に関する知識、理解、正しい解釈を有する
• EPC スケジュールとコントロール モデリングおよび製図スケジュールを理解
• 他の分野のエンジニア (機械、E&I など)、ベンダーのエンジニアと調整するためのコミュニケーション スキルを有する

• チーム メンバーとの意思相通、情報共有を的確に行う
• 国際企業およびプロジェクト運営に関連する安全問題についての正しい知識を有する
