CareerCross: Notice of System Recovery 2025-0210

Dear CareerCross Users,


We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the recent system issues. We are pleased to inform you that the system malfunction affecting various functionalities on CareerCross, including email services, job seeker profile viewing, and job listing visibility, has now been resolved.


■ Incident Timeline

  • Outage Start Time: February 7th (Friday) from 3:00 PM onwards
  • Restoration Time: February 10th (Monday) from approximately 12:20 PM, with services being gradually restored.

Please note that all emails and postings that were not functioning correctly since 3:00 PM on February 7th are now being processed and displayed as normal.

■ Details of the Issue

  • Email Distribution Errors:
    • Suspension of email delivery services, including newsletters and other registered email communications.
    • Suspension of various notification emails, such as application confirmation messages and application alerts.
    • All emails scheduled for delivery after 3:00 PM on February 7th were affected (estimated).
  • Job Seeker Profile Display Errors:
    • Some profiles of job seekers who opted to make their profiles public were not displayed in the resume search results.
    • Job seekers who logged in after 3:00 PM on February 7th were affected (estimated).
  • Job Listing Display Errors:
    • Some job listings were not appearing in the job search results.
    • Jobs posted after 3:00 PM on February 7th were affected (estimated).

■ Cause of the Issue
The issue was caused by a partial shutdown of the system's internal instruction program, which also disabled incident alert notifications. This led to a delay in detecting the problem and consequently prolonged the restoration process.


■ Measures for Prevention of Recurrence
We will review and enhance our incident alert notification system to ensure faster detection and response to similar issues in the future.

We have confirmed that login, profile updates, job applications, scout mail distribution and responses, and communication between job seekers and companies are functioning properly on the CareerCross site.
