The Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the company’s day-to-day operational activities across port, logistics, shipping, and transportation functions. This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency, and driving the achievement of business objectives through effective planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with internal teams, customers, vendors, regulators, and other key stakeholders, the Operations Manager will provide strong leadership to operational teams while ensuring seamless coordination across all activities. The successful candidate will combine hands-on operational oversight with strategic thinking to enhance productivity, resolve operational challenges, and support the company’s long-term growth and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) minimum; Master's Degree (S2) preferred. 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, logistics, shipping, port, transportation, or related industries, including at least 5 years in a managerial role. 

• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience leading and developing teams. 

• Experienced in field-based operations, operational monitoring, KPI management, and target achievement. 

• Good understanding of port operations, shipping, logistics, and transportation industries; existing industry network is an advantage. 

• Proven track record of stable career progression and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. 

• Develop and execute operational plans, targets, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business objectives.

• Monitor operational performance, ensure KPI achievement, and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions.

• Conduct regular site visits and oversee field operations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. 

• Manage, develop, and coordinate teams and stakeholders, including internal departments, customers, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
