Overview

Our client, a foreign-owned real estate investment firm with a stable, long-term investment approach, is seeking a Finance Director to lead the finance function in Japan. This role offers the opportunity to oversee financial accounting, compliance, and strategic financial initiatives across multiple business verticals. The position is based in Tokyo and requires strong leadership and expertise in real estate finance, with competitive benefits aligned to senior finance roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial accounting, management, and statutory reporting
• Oversee financial control, audit, and compliance with regulations
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Lead treasury operations including cash flow and liquidity management
• Partner with business units on acquisitions, divestments, and transactions
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and controls
• Lead and develop finance team to support business verticals
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and Finance SOPs
• Collaborate on digital transformation initiatives in finance

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification is preferred but not mandatory
• At least 18 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role
• Prior experience in real estate finance and SPC accounting
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience with Japanese accounting standards and tax regulations
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of treasury operations including cash flow and liquidity management
• Familiarity with financial audit processes and regulatory compliance
• Experience managing banking relationships and financial transactions
• Proficiency in financial systems and digital transformation initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills

応募資格：

• 会計、財務または関連分野の学位
• 公認会計士資格が望ましいが必須ではない
• 関連する財務および会計分野での18年以上の経験
• シニア財務リーダーシップ職での最低5年の経験
• 不動産ファイナンスおよび特別目的会社（SPC）会計の経験
• 優れた英語の読み書きおよび口頭コミュニケーション能力
• 日本の会計基準および税法規制の知識
• 予算編成、予測、差異分析の専門知識
• キャッシュフローおよび流動性管理を含む財務運営の知識
• 財務監査プロセスおよび規制遵守の理解
• 銀行取引関係および財務取引の管理経験
• 財務システムおよびデジタルトランスフォーメーションイニシアチブの熟練度
