Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute buying and category management strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.

• Identify potential supply, pricing, quality, and availability risks and implement appropriate corrective actions. 

• Manage category performance including pricing, assortment, margins, inventory, availability, and wastage.

• Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

• Proven experience in buying, merchandising, procurement, or category management within retail or fresh food environments.

• Strong track record in supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, inventory management, margin optimisation, and wastage control.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement commercial strategies that improve category performance.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and commercial decision-making capabilities.
