Overview

Our client is seeking a Productivity and Pre Harvest Specialist to join their team in Fukuoka, Japan, supporting a global fruit supply network. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with growers and industry partners to enhance orchard productivity, fruit quality, and pre-harvest performance through data-driven and hands-on technical support. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute orchard innovation trials to improve productivity
• Advise growers on best practices for crop load and fruit quality
• Implement and monitor crop protection and pre-harvest compliance
• Coordinate residue sampling and mitigation for audit-ready supply
• Conduct maturity clearance and harvest readiness assessments
• Analyze orchard and crop data to guide pre-harvest decisions
• Build and maintain relationships with growers and supply chain partners
• Travel regularly to orchards across Japan for on-site support
• Translate technical horticultural knowledge into practical grower actions
• Support supply chain resilience through pre-harvest performance improvements

Requirements:

• Experience in orchard or pre-harvest crop management (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of plant and fruit physiology
• Knowledge of crop protection principles and Japan regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Power BI and Excel
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly
• Tertiary qualification in horticulture, agricultural or plant science
• Ability to analyze horticultural data to improve orchard outcomes
• Experience conducting orchard trials and evaluating innovation
• Strong communication skills for grower and stakeholder engagement
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with maturity clearance and harvest readiness assessments

応募条件：

• 果樹園または収穫前作物管理の経験（必須）
• 植物および果実生理学に関する知識
• 作物保護の原則および日本の規制要件に関する知識
• Microsoft 365（特にPower BIおよびExcel）の活用スキル
• 有効な運転免許証および定期出張への対応力
• 園芸学、農学または植物科学関連の学位
• 園芸データを分析し、生産性向上につなげる能力
• 果樹園での試験運営および評価経験
• 生産者・関係者との高いコミュニケーション能力
• 日本語および英語のビジネスレベル能力があれば尚可
