Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel for a leading global insurance and financial services organisation with operations in over 50 countries. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex commercial contract negotiations and collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all commercial agreements
• Advise business teams on legal risks
• Manage external legal advisors and outside counsel
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting commercial contracts
• Collaborate with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, and IP specialists
• Ensure compliance with financial services and insurance regulations

Requirements:

• Qualified Bengoshi
• 5+ years drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Native Japanese, Fluent English language skills
• Knowledge of financial services and insurance industry regulations
• Familiarity with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, and IP legal issues
• Experience managing external legal advisors and outside counsel
