Company and Job Overview

• Our client is a leading manufacturer of public transportation vehicles, specializing in electric powered buses. 

• The Malaysia operation supports regional manufacturing and engineering activities across the Asia-Pacific market.

• Currently they are seeking a Frontend Software Developer to design and develop intuitive, user-friendly web applications that support engineering, manufacturing, and operational activities. 

• The candidate will play a key role in translating business and operational requirements into modern digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web-based applications and dashboards.

• Create modern and intuitive user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for internal and customer-facing systems.

• Collaborate closely with Design Engineers, Production Teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.

• Translate functional requirements into scalable frontend solutions.

• Work with backend developers and other technical teams to integrate APIs and system functionalities.

• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, usability, accessibility, and security.

• Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities to maintain application quality.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software development best practices.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and digitalization projects across the organization.

• Communicate effectively with the UK Engineering Manager and global project teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Frontend Development or Software Development.

• Experience designing and developing web-based applications.

• Experience working with UI/UX principles and responsive design.

• Strong proficiency in: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript / TypeScript

• Experience with frontend frameworks such as: React.js, Angular, Vue.js

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Understanding of UI/UX design tools such as Figma.
