Join a leading global Corporate & Investment Bank as a Senior Aviation Finance Banker, originating, structuring, and executing sophisticated aviation finance and transportation asset finance transactions across international markets.

In this senior client-facing role, you will develop financing solutions for airlines, aircraft lessors, transportation companies, and maritime leasing clients, with exposure to commercial aircraft loans, Japanese Operating Leases (JOL), structured finance, and other asset-backed transactions.

You will work closely with Japanese corporate clients and collaborate with global product specialists, Credit Risk, Loan Syndication, Sustainable Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, and regional coverage teams. This is an opportunity to combine structured finance expertise with international deal execution and relationship management on a globally recognised platform.

• Originate, structure, and execute complex aviation finance, transportation finance, and asset-backed financing transactions for corporate and institutional clients.
• Arrange commercial loans secured by aircraft assets and support the structuring and execution of Japanese Operating Lease (JOL) transactions.
• Develop tailored financing solutions for airlines, aircraft lessors, shipping companies, and maritime leasing clients.
• Manage an existing portfolio of structured finance transactions in partnership with Portfolio Management and Middle Office teams.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with Japanese corporate clients, leasing companies, financial sponsors, airlines, and other key market participants.
• Collaborate with global product specialists and regional coverage teams to execute sophisticated cross-border structured finance transactions.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk, Loan Syndication, Sustainable Finance, and Debt Capital Markets teams throughout transaction structuring and execution.
• Ensure transactions comply with internal risk policies, governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Significant experience in Structured Finance, Aviation Finance, Shipping Finance, Project Finance, or Leveraged Finance.
• Exposure to aircraft financing, aircraft leasing structures, export finance, or other asset-backed lending transactions.
• Strong experience in financial modelling, credit analysis, transaction structuring, and end-to-end deal execution.
• Experience working with Japanese corporate clients, airlines, aircraft leasing companies, or financial institutions.
• Proven ability to execute transactions involving multiple internal stakeholders and cross-border teams.
• Relevant senior-level banking or structured finance experience, ideally with 10+ years of professional experience.

• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusted, long-term client partnerships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly analytical and solutions-oriented approach to structuring complex financing transactions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across international teams and multiple product specialists.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
• High attention to detail with a disciplined approach to execution, risk management, and compliance.

• Japanese: Native level.
• English: Intermediate to Business level for international deal execution and cross-border collaboration.

• Direct experience originating or executing aviation finance and aircraft-backed transactions.
• Knowledge of Japanese Operating Lease (JOL) structures and the Japanese aviation finance market.
• Experience covering airlines, aircraft lessors, transportation companies, shipping companies, or maritime leasing businesses.
• Exposure to Loan Syndication, Debt Capital Markets, Sustainable Finance, or Export Finance.
• Experience within a leading global investment bank, international bank, or established structured finance platform.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
