About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution of a large-scale satellite data platform while also driving the successful delivery of long-term strategic programs with enterprise and public-sector stakeholders.
This role combines platform product management with complex program execution and requires close collaboration with engineering teams developing infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines, and analytics services built upon satellite imagery and geospatial data.
The ideal candidate is comfortable translating complex business and operational requirements into technical deliverables while coordinating diverse stakeholders across engineering, business, and external organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Product Management
- Define and execute the roadmap for a satellite imagery and data platform serving enterprise and government customers.
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications, platform capabilities, and data models.
- Drive development of scalable infrastructure, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to prioritize platform capabilities.
- Define success metrics and continuously improve adoption, performance, and usability.
Strategic Program Management
- Lead execution of long-term government and public-sector programs.
- Convert operational requirements into engineering and product deliverables.
- Coordinate milestones, deliverables, and technical requirements across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery commitments, compliance requirements, and project timelines are achieved.
- Identify risks proactively and drive mitigation plans.
Cross-functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with software engineering, data processing, domain specialists, and business teams.
- Align product roadmap with technical capabilities and long-term commitments.
- Support organizational decision-making through structured planning and reporting.

- 5+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS or platform products.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, infrastructure products, or API-driven systems.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams on backend platforms, architecture, or data pipelines.
- Ability to convert complex requirements into technical specifications and actionable deliverables.
- Experience managing large cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Business-level Japanese and English proficiency.
- Experience with geospatial platforms, data platforms, satellite data, or large-scale data systems.
- Experience working with government, public-sector, defense, or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with developer platforms, APIs, and usage-based software products.
- Experience building AI-enabled products or analytics solutions.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for product discovery, requirements gathering, and productivity.
- Understanding of modern AI-driven software development practices.
