PR/090088 | Field Service Engineer (SMT / Reflow)

Location: Suwon, South Korea (Frequent travel required)

A global industrial equipment company is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support customers within Korea.
The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for SMT / reflow systems at customer sites.

• Install, commission, and maintain industrial equipment (SMT / reflow systems) at customer sites

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance

• Diagnose technical issues and provide effective system-level solutions

• Deliver on-site training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance

• Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure high service quality

• Manage customer expectations by communicating service activities and follow-up plans

• Prepare and submit field service reports, technical documentation, and regular updates 

• Maintain spare parts, tools, and service inventory

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies

• Support the sales team by identifying service contract opportunities and customer needs

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the SMT industry

• Experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment (preferably SMT / reflow systems)

• Experience in semiconductor or machinery-related industries is a strong plus

• Ability to perform system-level diagnostics and troubleshooting

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • or related technical field

• Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered

• Strong technical understanding of equipment systems (PLC, HMI, MES preferred)

• Good communication skills with strong customer orientation

• Analytical problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently

• Good command of English (reading, writing, speaking)

• Electrical/maintenance-related certifications (e.g., Electrician License in Korea) preferred
