A Japan-based sustainability company with over 45 years of experience in recycling and circular economy solutions. The company is expanding its biomass energy business in Malaysia, focusing on converting agricultural waste into renewable energy.

Job Description
We are hiring a Project Manager / Business Development professional to support the expansion of a biomass energy business in Malaysia.

This is a hands-on role involving project execution, partner coordination, and business development within the industrial and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project execution (planning, implementation, operations coordination)

• Develop and maintain partnerships with:
  - Industrial clients (factories, plants)
  - Palm oil mills (biomass suppliers)
  - Equipment vendors (e.g. boiler systems)

• Identify business opportunities and support new client acquisition

• Conduct market research and feasibility studies

• Lead stakeholder coordination and commercial discussions

• Work closely with internal teams and Japan HQ on project alignment

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in: Project Management / Business Development / Technical Sales

• Experience handling external stakeholders, partners, or clients

• Background in industries such as:
  1)  Energy / Renewable Energy
  2)  Manufacturing / Industrial
  3)  Waste Management / Engineering / Infrastructure

• Ability to understand technical concepts (engineering background not required)

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
