PR/119852 | Lead FAI Engineer / QA Lead Engineer

Responsibilities:

The Lead FAI shall do the following to accomplish the above.

1.  Lead, coach, and coordinate the daily activities of the FAI team and FAI Foreman.

2.  Plan and prioritize FAI workload in line with production schedules and customer commitments.

3.  Review and approve:

        - Part-level FAI reports

        - Assembly-level FAI reports

        - Ballooned drawings and inspection results

4.  Verify that all design characteristics (dimensions, tolerances, materials, special processes) are properly captured and validated.

5.  Ensure correct interpretation of aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

6.  Confirm compliance with AS9102, including Forms 1, 2, and 3.

7.  Support production and engineering teams in resolving FAI-related issues and clarifications.

8.  Maintain high standards of documentation quality, traceability, and audit readiness.

9.  Conduct to comply with company policy and other company regulations.

10. Contribute to internal and external audits (e.g., customers, certification bodies) as FAI subject matter expert.

11. Develop, maintain, and improve FAI procedures, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent experience.

2.  Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, quality, or inspection roles.

3.  Strong working knowledge of AS9102.

4.  Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.

5.  Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T.

6.  Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

7.  High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail (critical for FAI approval responsibility.

8.  Strong sense of ownership and accountability in decision-making.

9.  Good leadership skills or demonstrated ability to guide and support a team.

10. Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
