• キャッシュマネジメント、コーポレートバンキング、グローバルマーケット、証券サービス各事業に対する法務サポートの提供
• 各種取引関連契約書および関連ドキュメントの作成、レビュー、交渉対応
• 法務・規制・リスクに関するビジネス部門へのアドバイザリー業務
• ビジネス部門およびコントロール部門と連携し、課題の特定および実務的な解決策の策定
• 外部法律事務所とのリレーション管理およびリーガルプロジェクトの統括
• ガバナンス関連会議への法務代表としての参画
• 新規ビジネスに関する法的分析および取引ストラクチャリング支援
• クロスボーダー案件に関し、リージョナルおよびグローバルの法務チームと連携

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Tokyo legal team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced financial services lawyer to provide legal support across Corporate Banking, Cash Management, Global Markets, and Securities Services while working closely with senior business leaders and regional legal teams.

The role offers broad exposure to complex financial transactions, regulatory matters, governance initiatives, and strategic business growth projects. You will play a key role in supporting business innovation while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in a highly international environment.

• Provide legal advice and support across Corporate Banking, Cash Management, Global Markets, and Securities Services businesses.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of transaction documents and commercial agreements.
• Advise business teams on legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk-related matters.
• Partner with business and control functions to identify legal issues and develop practical commercial solutions.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee legal projects and budgets.
• Participate in governance committees and represent the legal function in key decision-making forums.
• Support new business initiatives through legal analysis, transaction structuring, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams on cross-border transactions and regulatory matters.

必須条件 経験・資格：

• 日本における弁護士資格
• 大手法律事務所または金融機関における法務経験7年以上
• 金融取引および金融規制に関するアドバイザリー経験
• 複雑な商業契約または金融関連契約のドラフト・交渉経験
• 規制環境下においてビジネス部門と連携した業務経験

• 優れたコミュニケーション能力およびステークホルダーマネジメント能力
• ビジネス部門と連携しながら、主体的に課題解決を推進できる能力
• 法務リスクとビジネス目標のバランスを踏まえた実務的判断力
• 複数案件の優先順位を見極めながら遂行できる実行力
• 新たな金融商品やビジネス領域への高い学習意欲と知的好奇心
• 高いオーナーシップを持ち、自律的に業務を推進できる姿勢

• 日本語：ネイティブレベル
• 英語：ビジネスレベル以上

• 海外の弁護士資格を有する方
• グローバルマーケットまたは証券サービス部門における業務支援経験
• クロスボーダー取引および規制関連案件に関する法務アドバイザリー経験
• 外資系金融機関または国際的な金融機関での業務経験
• ガバナンス対応や経営層向けアドバイザリー業務の経験

• Qualified lawyer in Japan (Bengoshi).
• At least 7 years of legal experience gained within a leading law firm, financial institution, investment bank, or multinational organization.
• Strong experience advising on financial transactions, banking products, and financial regulations.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and financial agreements.
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders within regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, financial markets, and legal risk management.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, commercial, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to balance business objectives with legal and regulatory risk considerations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Japanese: Native level.
• English: Business level proficiency.

• Foreign legal qualification.
• Experience supporting Global Markets, Capital Markets, or Securities Services businesses.
• Experience advising on cross-border transactions and international regulatory matters.
• Previous experience within an international financial institution.
• Exposure to governance committees, board-level matters, and senior management advisory work.
