Associate General Counsel, Sports Industry アソシエイトジェネラルカウンセル スポーツ業界



Our client, a leading company in the sports industry, is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join their global Legal team in Japan. This role offers the opportunity to provide counsel and advice to various business functions, working closely with cross-functional partners and occasionally overseeing outside counsel.


Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on commercial matters and transactions
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts
- Resolve legal issues related to consumer goods
- Collaborate with global legal teams
- Provide legal counsel for sports marketing initiatives


Qualifications:

- 8+ years in law firm or in-house legal counsel
- Licensed to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction
- Experience in commercial, consumer, and advertisement law in Japan
- Ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts
- Fluent in Japanese and English, oral and written
- Experience in sports marketing law is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with digital commerce law is preferred but not mandatory
