Our client, a Fortune 150 technology company listed on the NYSE, is seeking a Sr. Legal Counsel for their expanding food delivery service in Japan. This role offers the opportunity to provide legal support for business operations and expansion in accordance with Japanese law, working closely with various internal departments and external law firms.


Key Responsibilities:

• - Provide legal support for business operations in Japan
• - Draft and negotiate contracts with stakeholders
• - Collaborate with internal departments to drive projects
• - Instruct and collaborate with external law firms
• - Advise on eCommerce legal compliance
• - Support new business and product launches legally

Qualifications:

• - Must be qualified and registered as a lawyer in Japan
• - Over 8 years of legal experience after obtaining qualifications
• - Native-level Japanese proficiency
• - Business level or higher English proficiency is preferred but not mandatory
• - Experience in eCommerce legal compliance is preferred but not mandatory
• - Familiarity with Japanese business law is preferred but not mandatory
• - Experience in contract negotiation and drafting is preferred but not mandatory
