A global consumer goods manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Engineer. The selected candidate will drive product and process quality, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support compliance and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure product and process quality across manufacturing operations
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regional and global offices
• Analyse quality data to identify gaps and implement corrective actions
• Contribute to projects that improve overall operational performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality roles
• Understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, MOC, SPC, A3, 8D, and 5 Why
• Business level reading and written Japanese (JLPT N1 is ideal) and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in Japan
• Prior experience with ISO standards or industry-specific regulations
• Proven experience with SAP system
• Background with process improvement, production optimisation, and efficiency projects
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
• Possess Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification
