JLPT N3 required SRE Lead (Tech Lead)

This role is not just about operations—you will:

1. Reliability & Performance Management

• Define and monitor SLI/SLO and error budgets
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis
• Build and improve monitoring and logging systems
• Capacity planning and cost optimization

2. Continuous Improvement of Infrastructure

• Identify and resolve technical debt strategically
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Establish on-call systems and SRE practices

3. Technical Leadership & Team Growth

• Mentor and support junior engineers
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical training
• Ensure enterprise-grade requirements (security, scalability)
• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders

You will act as the technical compass of the team, focusing entirely on:

• Architecture decisions
• Technical strategy
• Engineering excellence

(Note: People management is handled by an Engineering Manager, allowing you to focus purely on technical leadership.)

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS development
• 2+ years of mentoring or leadership experience
• Experience designing and operating high-availability, high-security systems
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Japanese proficiency (JLPT N3 level or higher)

Nice to Have

• Experience with SLA/SLO design and operation
• Experience building customer-facing dashboards/reporting systems
• Experience with logging/observability platforms
• Multi-region or multi-tenant architecture experience
• Experience collaborating with business teams
