Location: Bangkok

Our client, a well‑established company in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled Japanese Interpreter to support cross-functional teams and facilitate effective communication within their organization.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will act as a key communication bridge between Japanese executives/engineers and local teams. This role involves both verbal interpretation and written translation of technical and business-related content.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation (Japanese ↔ Thai) during internal meetings, production floor activities, and technical discussions.

• Translate documents, reports, training materials, and emails with a focus on automotive terminology.

• Support Japanese expat in daily communication with local teams.

• Ensure high accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality in all communications.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Japanese, Linguistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience as an Interpreter/Translator, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or engineering environment.

• JLPT N2 or N1 certification (or equivalent proficiency).

• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced operational settings.

• Experience working in Japanese corporate culture is an advantage.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of automotive processes (production, QA, logistics, engineering).

• Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
