A company in the document solutions and business technology industry is hiring for a Senior Quality Control Engineer position. 

Job Description

• Lead quality control activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet established standards and support the company’s long-term objectives.

• Define testing processes, design comprehensive test scripts, and execute testing strategies aligned with specification requirements.

• Analyze system specifications, develop and perform test cases, and create detailed testing reports to ensure product reliability and performance.

• Identify, document, and report defects while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align quality goals and resolve issues efficiently.

• Analyze quality metrics such as test coverage and defect trends, drive continuous process improvements, and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.

• Conduct training sessions for team members and serve as a mentor and guide for quality control engineers within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality control or software testing, including at least three years in a senior role; leadership experience is advantageous.

• Strong expertise in testing methodologies and a solid understanding of quality metrics and their practical application.

• Experience in analyzing root causes of defects and implementing corrective and preventive measures.

• Hands-on experience in web application testing; familiarity with embedded devices is an advantage.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, or similar tools.

• Experience working with databases, including the ability to write SQL queries to verify and manipulate test data.

• Japanese language proficiency at N3 level or higher, and intermediate English skills in speaking, listening, and writing; experience working with Japanese clients is advantageous.

• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present testing progress, defect reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant technology certifications are valued.

• Strong commitment to contributing as a core member of the company over the long term.
