Position Name:                         Design Asst. Manager (Japanese speaking)

Role Purpose:                             To support the Japanese Design Manager in leading the team, ensuring technical excellence in harness design, and maintaining seamless communication between the local site and Japan HQ.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist the JP Manager in supervising the design team, providing technical guidance, and driving the team to achieve KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
• Act as a key coordinator between production, quality, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution and problem-solving.
• Serve as the primary technical window to communicate, clarify, and align design requirements with the Headquarters in Japan.
• Lead the preparation for customer audits by ensuring all design processes strictly adhere to ISO and IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience in Wire Harness design within the Automotive or Home Appliance industries.
• Proficient in CAD software and possess a deep understanding of IATF 16949 and quality management systems.
• Proven track record in a Senior Engineer or Lead Design role, ready to step up into a management support position.
• English: Intermediate level or higher (Business communication).
• Japanese: Ability to communicate in Japanese is a strong advantage (to facilitate direct communication with Japan HQ).
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure in a multinational environment.
