Position Summary

As a senior member of the Compliance Department, the Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the firm’s operations remain compliant with all relevant regulations and internal standards. The position involves direct engagement with regulators, advising the business on compliance matters, and strengthening the overall compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior member of the Compliance Department and act as deputy to the Head of Compliance when required.
• Liaise with the Financial Services Agency (FSA), other regulatory bodies, and self-regulatory organizations.
• Lead responses to regulatory inspections and audits.
• Monitor, analyze, and implement new or revised regulations to ensure compliance across business operations.
• Continuously maintain and improve the firm’s compliance systems and controls.
• Provide compliance-related guidance and advice to other departments.
• Execute risk-based compliance monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with global teams to provide compliance input on new product development and business initiatives.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Proven compliance experience in OTC derivatives (FX, CFDs); exposure to cash equities or crypto asset trading is a plus but not essential
• Team management or leadership experience.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English (capable of managing communications with overseas colleagues).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
