Job Description
Position Summary
A Japanese manufacturing company is seeking an IT Application Engineer to support and optimize ERP systems and enterprise applications. This role will work closely with business users, vendors, and management to improve operational efficiency and support digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support and maintain ERP and enterprise applications
Provide user support and troubleshoot application issues
Develop SQL queries and perform data analysis
Gather business requirements and recommend system improvements
Create reports and dashboards using Power BI and related tools
Support data migration and system integration activities
Coordinate with software vendors and external partners
Participate in digital transformation and process improvement projects
Promote the use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
Qualifications
Experience supporting ERP or enterprise applications
Working knowledge of SQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment
ERP implementation or upgrade experience
Power BI or Power Platform experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
Japanese language ability is a plus

Salary
$70,000 - $90,000 per year (DOE)
