PR/161295 | Project Construction Manager (Greenfield Manufacturing Plant | Korean Speaking)

Our client is a well-established Korean MNC in the manufacturing industry, currently expanding its operations in Malaysia with the development of a new manufacturing facility in Seremban.  

They are now seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager (Korean Speaking) to oversee the entire Design & Build (D&B) project, from initial planning and construction through to commissioning and final handover.

Work Location: Kuala Lumpur (Initially), followed by Seremban, Negeri Sembilan 

Job Responsibilities: - 

• Lead and manage the end-to-end construction of a new manufacturing plant.

• Oversee Design & Build (D&B) activities, including civil, structural and MEP works

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers and main contractors.

• Review construction drawings, technical specifications and project schedules

• Monitor project progress, budget, CAPEX and construction milestones.

• Manage contractor performance, tender evaluations, progress claims and variation orders (VO).

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and local authority requirements.

• Liaise with relevant authorities for permits, approvals and CCC.

• Provide regular project updates and reports to local management and overseas HQ.

• Ensure timely project completion within approved budget and quality standards.

   

Job Requirements: - 

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.

• Min. 8–10 years of experience in construction or project management.

• Must have hands-on experience in Design & Build (D&B) of factories or industrial facilities from scratch.

• Proven experience in greenfield factory construction or new manufacturing plant setup.

• Strong knowledge of civil, structural and MEP works.

• Experience managing large-scale industrial construction projects, contractors and project budgets.

• Korean nationality or Korean language proficiency is highly preferred.

• Candidates with experience working for Korean construction companies or Korean manufacturing plants will have an added advantage.

• Experience coordinating with Korean HQ or Korean project stakeholders is preferred.

• Familiar with Malaysian construction regulations and local authority approvals.

• Willing to work in Kuala Lumpur initially before relocating to the Seremban project site.
