VPC Controller, Luxury Automotive

Join a luxury automotive business in Tokyo and help ensure new vehicles meet quality and local compliance standards before delivery to dealers.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily, weekly and monthly vehicle preparation activity in line with wholesale needs.

• Supervise VPC vendors and monitor quality, costs and vehicle condition.

• Maintain inspection and dealer pre-delivery inspection procedures.

• Investigate new vehicle issues, record inspection and repair results and report quality concerns to headquarters.

• Support dealers with technical guidance and train VPC and PDI personnel.

• Audit operations, evaluate suppliers and maintain stock vehicle condition.

• Coordinate vehicle readiness for business events and fleet activities.

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Permanent full-time employment, 40 hours per week. Business travel is required as needed.

At least five years of experience in the automotive technical field.

Strong vehicle diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair knowledge across mechanical, electronic and vehicle finish systems.

Ability to communicate professionally with dealers, suppliers and overseas stakeholders.

Fluent Japanese and English usable as a working language.

Strong spreadsheet skills, accuracy, quality awareness and cost analysis ability.

Willingness to travel for business.

Technical support or flying doctor experience is preferred. Automotive or mechanical education is preferred.

Existing permission to work in Japan is required.
