Company and Job Overview
Our client manufactures and distributes swimming pool and water-treatment products. They are seeking a Chemist to develop and optimize water-treatment chemical products, provide technical support, and collaborate on production scale-up while supporting regulatory compliance and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation and formulation, developing new water-treatment chemicals and improving existing products’ stability, concentration and cost-effectiveness

• Conduct R&D and product trials for water sanitation, industrial wastewater, cooling towers and agriculture; collaborate with external laboratories and the Chemical Engineer to scale up production

• Provide customer technical support, assist production and quality control, and manage product implementation, Bills of Materials, processes and technical specifications

• Support regulatory compliance, including local and international product-registration documentation and formulation safety requirements under GHS/SDS                          

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science or Chemical Engineering

• At least 3 years’ experience in water treatment or a laboratory

• Candidates from FMCG, agriculture or pharmaceuticals with transferable expertise are also welcome

• Strong organic and inorganic chemistry knowledge, creative product-development capabilities and good English communication skills

• Patents or successful product launches are highly valued, while APVMA, SPAN or Halal regulatory knowledge is an advantage
