Job Overview
Planning and advancing a proof of concept (PoC) for the introduction of AI agents to support the
digital transformation (DX) of core business operations at a major electric power group.

Scope of Work / Responsibilities

• Promoting the introduction of AI agents for the DX of core business operations at a major electric power group.
• Improving model accuracy, designing prompts, interviewing user departments, and proposing optimal solutions.
• Applying LLMs in operational settings and validating their use in business operations.
• Serving as the technical lead for PoCs with user departments, from planning through MVP development to business validation.
  (Note: A separate team (an electric power sector IT company) will handle the implementation and operations phases.)

• Start date: As soon as possible for the successful candidate
• Work location: Primarily remote
  * Attendance at the Nagoya office is required approximately 1–4 times per month (mandatory on the first day).
• Project duration: Long-term (renewable contract for the duration of the project)

Required Skills

• Ability to identify issues, formulate hypotheses, and propose solutions when defining requirements with clients.
• Leadership skills to proactively drive projects.
• Practical AI experience (improving model accuracy and building machine learning models).
• Design and development experience involving generative AI applications, AI agents, prompt design, and related areas.
• Ability to communicate promptly and smoothly via text and video in a fully remote environment.
• Japanese: Business level and above (JLPT N2-N1)
• (For foreign nationals: Residing in Japan with valid work permit)
   

Preferred Skills

• Development and architecture design experience on public cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP).
• Knowledge of MLOps and implementation skills in Python.
• A deep understanding of the internal algorithms and mechanisms of AI models.
• Experience working with databases (SQL, etc.).
• Ability to collaborate smoothly with data analysts.
• Project leadership experience (promotion to a lead role is anticipated approximately three months after joining the project).
• English skills are welcome but not required
