We’re looking for an ambitious Supplier Management Executive who combines strong Technical, Quality Control and Negotiation skills, and a passion for building lasting supplier relationships with added-value seafood producers. This is a key role within an international food business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Go to suppliers’ sites to develop new products and inspect production.
Check production quality and processes and inspect orders before loading.
Discuss supplier offers with Manager to ensure best value and sustainable supply.
Collaborate closely with NPD and Technical teams to plan ranges, launch new products, and solve supply challenges.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Relevant university degree.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the seafood sector with established supplier contacts.
Understanding of manufacturing, quality and production processes in seafood
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Results-driven, ambitious, organised, and adaptable with a proactive “can-do” attitude.
Good English.
Willingness to travel to visit suppliers.
Existing network of trusted suppliers.
