We are seeking a results-driven Commodity Management Specialist to join our client's procurement and supply chain organisation in Penang. You will own end-to-end commodity management — from strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation to AVL management, cost optimisation and NPI support — ensuring the right materials are secured at the right cost from the right suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement PCB sourcing strategies for cost, quality, capacity, and supply continuity.
Manage global PCB suppliers, including selection, audits, performance, and risk.
Lead RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, and cost-reduction activities.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, lead time, and capacity.
Support engineering and operations on DFM, NPI, material selection, and production transitions.
Maintain supplier scorecards, cost models, sourcing data, and improvement plans.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of PCB sourcing or procurement experience in manufacturing.
Experience managing PCB suppliers, preferably in Taiwan or China.
Good knowledge of PCB technologies, manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers.
Ability to read PCB technical documents such as Gerber files, drawings, and stack-ups.
Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
