Company Overview
A well-established Malaysian retail organisation with over 50 years of experience, operating a nationwide network of hypermarket-style stores focused on quality, freshness, value, and customer convenience.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and procure fresh products to meet quality, pricing, and commercial objectives.
Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive terms and reliable supply.
Analyse sales, inventory, and customer demand data to support buying decisions and category performance.
Monitor stock availability, product freshness, and wastage while ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute promotions, product launches, and commercial initiatives.
Key Requirements
Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
Experience in buying, procurement, merchandising, category management, or retail operations.
Exposure to supermarket, hypermarket, grocery, retail, or fresh food industries is preferred.
Strong analytical, negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and retail reporting systems
