Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
In this position, you will manage post-contract logistics and delivery operations for non-ferrous metal trading activities, overseeing import operations, inventory management, risk monitoring, and transportation coordination. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient supply chain operations while continuously identifying and implementing improvements in logistics services and delivery methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute all delivery-related operations following contract conclusion
Manage import and domestic logistics activities for non-ferrous metals
Coordinate shipping schedules and transportation arrangements by truck, vessel, and rail
Oversee inventory movement, warehouse operations, and delivery management
Manage shipping documentation and supplier/logistics invoices
Ensure compliance with applicable import/export and transportation regulations
Support internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient delivery processing
Monitor inventory exposure, conduct monthly reconciliations, and perform physical inventory inspections
Support financial closing and risk monitoring activities
Manage contracts related to inventory and warehouse operations
Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
5 to 10 years of experience as a logistics assistant or trade assistant
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 to 10 years of experience in international import/export logistics operations involving container and bulk shipments
Experience handling non-ferrous metals in approved warehouse environments
LOCATION New York, NY
WORK TYPE Hybrid work 3 times a week in the office
SALARY USD100,000-115,000
