RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own and manage ADAS functions and system components throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead system engineering activities for ADAS features, including requirements definition, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Drive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) activities
• Define, review, and align functional and system requirements with suppliers.
• Coordinate software and hardware development schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely project execution.
• Collaborate with Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Software, Hardware, Validation, Quality, and Program Management teams.
• Support the implementation and compliance of automotive cybersecurity requirements for ADAS systems.
• Participate in cross-functional technical discussions, design reviews, issue resolution, and risk management activities.
• Ensure technical solutions meet customer, regulatory, quality, safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• 5+ years of experience in ADAS, automotive systems engineering, embedded systems, or ECU development.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering processes and V-model development methodology.
• Hands-on experience with Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
• Knowledge of HARA, Safety Goals, Functional Safety Requirements, FMEA, and other safety analysis methods.
• Familiarity with automotive Cybersecurity concepts and standards, such as ISO/SAE 21434.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing technical requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment.
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Basic Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N3 or above).
Preferred
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent.
• Experience working in OEM or Tier-1 automotive environments.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
• Previous experience as a Function Owner, System Owner, or Technical Lead for ADAS programs.
