Title: Quality and Security Lead

Location: Kawasaki, Japan

 

Key Missions

This role aims at optimising and monitoring the quality level of supplies by having the objective to maximize customer satisfaction as well as client's performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifies client's suppliers
  • Conducts audits at suppliers’ premises to evaluate supplier quality maturity and to ensure compliance with client and customer quality standards and business needs
  • Monitors client’s suppliers’ performance in terms of quality, on-time-delivery and respect of service-level agreements, by analysing KPIs and by conducting supplier audits
  • Conducts and drives the root-cause analysis of non-quality issues or events and ensures proper corrective actions are defined and implemented by suppliers
  • Ensures client’s quality standards are maintained for suppliers’ new products or product changes
  • Drives alignment between Supplier, Procurement Business Partners, Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Engineering teams
  • Contributes to specification definition and check the suppliers’ ability to meet the requirements
  • Develops suppliers by supporting or driving the implementation of continuous improvement activities (deployment of best practices such as “Total Preventive Maintenance’, “Lean”, “Seven quality basics”, etc.)
  • Inspects quality of incoming supplies in client’s premises (for team-members based in production sites)
  • Validates introduction into production
  • Manages segregation of non-conforming products
  • Reviews problem solving report (8D’s)
  • Monitors and reports relevant KPIs and may manage a team
  • Conducts most supplier quality management activities in autonomy, including driving supplier continuous improvement and performance for a product line or a manufacturing or personalization site
  • Conducts supplier audits and analyses the data from audits
  • Coordinates and supervises eventually a team
  • Requests guidance for complex cases

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (native-level Japanese preferred) with the ability to communicate effectively with local suppliers, auditors, and global stakeholders.
  • Strong quality management expertise, including hands-on experience with 8D Reporting, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen; relevant certifications are highly preferred.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits and maintaining compliance with ISO standards, including supplier audits, quality inspections, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance operations, including physical security monitoring (CCTV), PCI audits, site compliance activities, and fire drills, with willingness to work full onsite in Kawasaki, Japan
